“The Dempsey Falling Step”
The Falling step is a technique that uses the force of gravity to add power.
Start with a traditional boxing stance with your feet shoulder width apart and your hands up to protect.
Next, take a small step forward with your lead foot, bending your knee and dropping your body weight as you move. This motion will allow you to transfer your weight forward, adding momentum to your punch. As you step forward, rotate your hips and shoulders, and extend your arm to deliver a powerful punch.
Note that you should only take a small step forward, as taking too big of a step can throw off your balance and leave you vulnerable to counterattacks.
With rigorous training and repetition,
the falling step can can be a great weapon in your boxing arsenal.
